You may or may not be aware that ISO9001 is currently undergoing revision with a planned publication date of late 2015. Certification Bodies are already providing guidance on what the likely changes will be. Here is a link to the new BSI Whitepaper which provides some background history and some idea of the likely changes to the document.
We are keeping our eyes on the revisions to enable us to provide a smooth transition for our customers with Quality System Certification from ISO9001: 2008 to ISO9001: 2015.
As you will see from the Whitepaper Certificated Companies will have 3 years to complete the transition from the current to the new standard. That may seem like a long time but it will be better to address the new requirements from publication rather than leaving it to the last moment.
